South East Culinary Team at W.I.T.

 

Members of the South Eastern Branch of the Panel of Chefs of Ireland competed very successfully at CATEX and Chef Ireland during February. The local chefs practised, trained and practised again until a team was established to travel to the National Catering Show.

In the individual Competitions, the team came home with 13 Awards including gold, silver and bronze medals. The most prestigious competition during the show was the Hot Kitchen event where the teams have to prepare, cook and

serve a 3 course meal to 85 people. This is an international competition and the South East Culinary Team was placed second with 7 Silver Medals.
