National news
“Have you got what it takes?” The National Junior Team is been formed at the moment and will have its first meeting on the 11th of June in DIT Dublin. If you have what it takes or know somebody who does, get in contact with the Chairman of any of the regional branches or with George Smith at DIT, as George is the man who will take charge of training our next batch of young medal hunters. It is hoped that this team will travel to Hotelympia in London in February of 2008. As per usual any junior hoping to be considered must be a member of the Panel first.
Exam Time Again. And not the junior or leaving cert this time, it’s the chefs taking part in the WACS Certified Chef Programme (Pilot programme) which will take place in the next few weeks. The programme is been coordinated by John Clancy DIT. John is a member on the WACS Global Educational Committee. So , heads in the books for those going forward, but if you weren’t lucky enough to get a place on this first programme, don’t worry “the next one will take place as early as September of this year or as late as February 2008” Said John Clancy. So book early or be disappointed.
